https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789912 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=789912#c0 Summary: Toshiba Qosmio X775-Q7272 FN+Z Keyboard Illumination/Backlight Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: wbca3110376@gmail.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: Community User Blocker: --- FN+Z is designated for keyboard illumination toggling (on/off). Pressing this combination results in a notification (like that of screen brightness adjustment notification) showing what appears to be a keyboard key with light rays emanating from it, but no change occurs. What is expected is the keyboard lights (under every key) to turn on or off. This same machine filed a bug in opensuse 11.4, which was dismissed as opensuse 12.2 was alleged to have fixes for this keyboard illumination issue. Additionally, the media strip at the top of the keyboard does not illuminate, and also contains a key for keyboard illumination. These keyboard features work on Windows 7 (machine set up for dual boot with Win 7 and OpenSUSE 12.2).
