"java -version" from terminal takes also too much time (3-8 sek).
That's strange, I have time java -version finished in 0m0.161s on much slower hardware with cold caches. Please attach the output of
strace -tt -s 4096 -o java.out java -version
to see what takes so long ...
Could not reproduce this problem now (12.2 x64 and 12.3 Milestone0). Sorry, could be some SSD bug or so, have tried allready to complete reinstall - it stays the same - no problem.
