https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=779040 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=779040#c0 Summary: No sound after full Gnome installation Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Sound AssignedTo: tiwai@suse.com ReportedBy: jmichel@suse.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de CC: svollath@suse.com Found By: Component Test Blocker: --- Without specifying anything other than the default sound configuration during installation, I wasn't able to get the sound working on openSuSE 12.2. We removed PulseAudio and then the system was able to find and recognize the internal Intel soundcard from my Dell PC. At this point we had sound, but no widget on the desktop bar to adjust the volume or mixer levels. We reinstalled PulseAudio, but disabled it in YasT. We also noted that there was a missing package. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
