--- Comment #3 from Michael Chang 2012-08-15 04:47:03 UTC ---
The module was loaded via udev, and udev not rely on modprobe but libkmod for
loading modules since rev 176.
According the NEWS said:
"Kernel modules are now loaded directly by linking udev to 'libkmod'. The
'modprobe' tool is no longer executed by udev"
So /etc/modprobe.d no longer effective to udev as the settings are modprobe
specific. In my testing I added module "ac" to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist and
/etc/modprobe.d/noload
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist:
blacklist ac
/etc/modprobe.d/noload:
install ac /bin/true
And execute
$ rmmod ac
$ modprobe ac
$ lsmod | grep -w ac
Show me nothing.
And
$ udevadm trigger
$ lsmod | grep -w ac
ac 13097 0
Show me ac get loaded by udev.
Better we loop in udev maintainer for his suggestion ?
