https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770107 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=770107#c0 Summary: Grub2: Prevent ugly back screen from popping up when booting any of the listed OS Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.2 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Bootloader AssignedTo: jsrain@suse.com ReportedBy: badshah400@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:13.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/13.0.1 Grub2 when themed (install grub2-branding-openSUSE) looks fine now. The only problem with it is this: when one hits enter to boot into any of the listed operating systems, it immediately shows up a small black screen not filling the entire screen (so the grub2 theme also is visible behind it) for about 2 seconds before switching to the booting graphics. This spoils the good looks of Grub2 and makes openSUSE look unprofessional.
