It works fine with kernels < 3.0.0, not with kernels > 3.0.0
sorry for confusing.
I also have a laptop using ath5k ,"AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter"(built-in),
which has same problem but not as prevalent.
The hardware is *not* defective. There is another who commented in the mail
list who has same problem. If you need I can find the email and give you his
address.
