Hi Vladimir,
Could you please kindly help to attach the /var/log/messages from 3.3.0.1.1.-i686 and 3.1.9-1.4-i686 kernel?
And, could you please help to try this kernel parameter for workaround your issue? + add libata.atapi_passthru16=0 to /boot/grub/menu.lst
Thanks
I am sorry, I did not wait for your answer and installed OpenSuse 12.1 version again. What I did:
No no! I should reply this bug more early.
- install OS12.1 - no cdrom problem - upgraded KDE to version 4.8.2 - no cdrom problem - upgraded kernel to 3.3.1.2 - no cdrom problem
Great!
After some time I I set Tumbleweed repos again to see what happens. I entered zypper dup command. There were many upgrades and downgrades as I expected, but firstly there was a change of architecture i586 - i686. I stopped zypper and set repos back to OS12.1. I suspect, that "cdrom problems" happens when TW change architecture. What do you think? I am running 32 bit version of OS12.1. Thanks.
Yes, that's possible there have some thing wrong when Tumbleweed change packages. If you are OK, then I will close this bug, please feel free just re-open it if you can reproduce issue again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
