https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752963 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=752963#c0 Summary: Incorrect time stamp being logged in host log causing IO to time out Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: SLES 11 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: abdel.jalal@netapp.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 The config consists of 4 hosts running SLES 11.2 (3.0.13-0.27-default). Two of the four are connected to the controller thru LSI 6GB SAS switch. The other two are directly connected to the controllers (one of the host has 3GB SAS HBA). After five hours in Controller fail drive stress test, the time stamp in the first 2 hosts connected thru the switch started jumping back and forth at different time and this caused the IO to time out Mar 14 22:48:05 ictc-hot multipathd: mpathz: sdaa - rdac checker reports path is down Mar 14 22:48:05 ictc-hot multipathd: checker failed path 65:160 in map mpathz Mar 14 22:48:05 ictc-hot multipathd: mpathz: remaining active paths: 1 Mar 14 23:12:32 ictc-hot -- MARK -- Mar 14 22:48:05 ictc-hot kernel: [18064.270189] mpt2sas0: log_info(0x31120101): originator(PL), code(0x12), sub_code(0x0101) ...
