https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749535 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749535#c0 Summary: NetworkManager: WLAN isn't rescanned, or not often scanned Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: i586 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bugzilla@singvogel.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2 I'm sometimes too far away from my WLAN access point, so there is no connection. When I boot into the system, or after wake up from suspend, NM doesn't find the network. So I move to a room closer to the access point. I expect that the NM now finds the access point and connects to the WLAN. But after some longer waiting period (30-60 sec) there is still no connection to the close WLAN / access point. But if I switch off the WLAN (hardware) via function keys, and restart it, the access point is found immediately. So I assume it's a missing refresh, or a very late refresh, which is not working right. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Be out of reach of WLAN access point 2. Switch PC on (or wake up from suspend) 3. Go closer to WLAN access point Actual Results: The configured is not activated Expected Results: Activation of WLAN -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
