I haven't had time to test a LiveCD yet, but after using no_console_suspend I
was able to trace the issue back to the wireless driver.
On the T410 there is the option at purchase time to get either the base
Broadcom chipset card or an Intel based card. I don't know whether this applies
for the X201.
I have a Broadcom wifi chipset. If I run
rmmod rtl8192se
as root before I attempt to suspend to RAM, the system suspends successfully.
However it doesn't restore video properly when coming back from sleep, but I
suspect that's a different issue that happens because I'm using the discrete
video card :/.
Maybe Tim has an Intel wireless chipset while Robert has a Broadcom like
myself?
