https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747751 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=747751#c0 Summary: Apper requests too many additional packages Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: michael.malessa@web.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:10.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.1 Apper required 135 additional packages when I wanted to install libreoffice-impress-extensions (only this package was selected for installation). Among the required additional packages the following packages were listed: gimp-help-browser, gimp-plugins-python, gnome-online accounts, mozilla-nss-32bit. YaST2 installed the package without any additional requirements and further ado. The system was up to date. This happened two times with a reboot in between. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select libreoffice-impress-extensions for installation in Apper 2. 3. Actual Results: Apper wants to install 136 packages in total among which absolutely unrelated ones (see details above) Expected Results: Apper should install only the necessary packages (like YaST2 did). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
