https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=746117 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=746117#c0 Summary: KDE:Qt/libQtWebKit4: Bug Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: BuildService AssignedTo: dmueller@suse.com ReportedBy: tibirna@kde.org QAContact: adrian@suse.com Found By: Community User Blocker: No The OpenSUSE 12.1 rpm for libQtWebKit-devel (I use in particular the one linked to in download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/48) does not contain the necessary configurations for making qmake (as installed from libqt4) aware of the existence of libQtWebKit on the system. Particularly, I guess, the ..qt4/mkspecs/modules/qt_webkit_version.pri should be installed (but there might be other pieces missing, like the information in libqt4's mkspec files that the compilation of libqt4 is modular -- since libQtWebKit seems to be compiled as a module in OpenSUSE 12.1 -- ). The first symptom (that led me to discovering this) is that trying to compile a qmake-based project that wants to use webkit will lead to an incorrectly compiled final product, that won't be linked to libQtWebKit, even if the library is present in the system, the reason being that qmake doesn't generate the necessary linking commands for libQtWebKit. I discovered this while compiling QtCreator from its git master. The resulting QtCreator plugins that required libQtWebKit didn't work properly. Notably, lib64/qtcreator/plugins/Nokia/libHelp.so is not linked to libQtWebKit. As a result, the QtCreator renders its help pages without proper css formatting and perhaps without support for displaying inline images, which makes them difficult to use/read. Following inquiry from Dirk Mueller, I discovered that this problem also affects the OpenSUSE officially compiled qt-creator rpm. I confirm that QtCreator 2.4.1 built for OpenSUSE 12.1 does not display help pages correctly. I guess this rpm should also be rebuild after fixing the missing qmake module configuration of libQtWebKit. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
