--- Comment #7 from Dr. Werner Fink 2012-02-09 08:42:15 UTC ---
I'm not able to reproduce as the configure option
--libexecdir=/usr/lib64
does its job here. The only differences I can detect is that the abuild
user is called fred and that in your build run rhw configure script
includes the file
/usr/share/site/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
I guess that this file will override the value of libexecdir with the
wrong value. Please attach
/usr/share/site/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
which is part of the package site-config. From our package here I can
read from this file the line
libexecdir='${exec_prefix}/lib'
which is a major bug as it breaks all build in the root file system!
This because the origimal value specified by the command line is ignored
and also a wrong value is choosen as beside on ppc64 or ia64 the default
value is not
libexecdir='${exec_prefix}/lib'
but
if test "$libexecdir" = '${exec_prefix}/libexec' ; then
libexecdir='${exec_prefix}/'${libdir##*/}
fi
for all platforms.
