https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745977 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=745977#c0 Summary: tracker-miner-thunderbird: makes Thunderbird 10 unusable Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.2 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: david.maillists@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0 After upgrading to Thunderbird 10 from the mozilla channel, thunderbird kept on doing nothing (not even log-in) for more than one hour (up to the point where I killed thunderbird). I downgraded to Thunderbird 9 and the tracker plugin was not compatible with that version, and Thunderbird worked. So I got the idea: remove tracker-miner-thunderbird, and upgrade Thunderbird to version 10. Voilà, Thunderbird 10 works! Given that tracker-miner-thunderbird is not compatible with Thunderbird 9, and makes Thunderbird 10 unusable, why not delete such package from the repo? I am afraid I cannot give any further help, because I have no intention to install the current or future versions of tracker-miner-thunderbird...
