Everything might look fine in those logs but it definitely isn't. As I said in
comment #3 after removing the USB stick and putting it back in the "openSUSE
Live CD KDE" partition is still there.
I also tried this with cfdisk and fdisk and got the same results. I'm pretty
sure I tried with parted too.
Anyway isn't the fix for this to have the ISO image/imagewriter create a valid
partition table? That way it would work consistently in all partitioning
programs and you wouldn't end up with ghost partitions like this "openSUSE Live
CD KDE" one.
