Created an attachment (id=471523)
--> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=471523)
patch to SuSeconfig module glib2
I found that in SuSE environment the file /usr/share/applications/defaults.list
that is the file that tells firefox wich applications open what is a link to
/var/cache/gio-2.0/defaults.list. This file is generated by SuSEconfig --module
glib2 from /etc/gnome_defaults.conf file (thankyou suse folks to keep track of
that in the header of the file !!).
The okular application desktop file as is a kde4 application is under
/usr/share/application/kde4 directory but SuSEconfig only see *.desktop files
under /usr/share/application so it simply don't notice anything about okular.
My solution is to add the path to the "search engine" (via the patch I
included) and add a line to /etc/gnome_defaults.conf:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>CUT
application/pdf=okularApplication_pdf.desktop
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
then launch SuSEconfig --module glib2
Hope this Help.
Diego
