Dynamic power control is off, tried switching it on and off again with no
change whatsoever.
I've also tried setting these again :

only power_save 0
only power_save_controller 0
both power_save 0 power_save_controller 0

No change, mic still makes the popping noise when muted unmuted (I think it's
coming from center/subwoofer)
This confused me few days ago, took a while before I found the source of the
problem.
Might be the chip though, it has 6 slots, I only use 3 to plug in adapters for
5.1 sound system.
Always using the same slots on any OS, rear=black, central/bass=orange,
front=lime
Mic slot is pink, never used it, don't even have a mic to test it.
