when using systemctl, boot. should be omitted.
So, you're saying
rcapparmor stop doesn't work
but a direct call to :
systemctl stop apparmor.service
works ?
If so, it looks like a bug in /etc/rc.status which doesn't strip boot.d
correctly (and from a quick look at the code, it looks indeed to not strip
boot.d from the symlink)
