kdebase4-runtime is installed, thus the logout sound should be there there.
There is no audio device, though, as I'm running it in a qemu-kvm session.
But it seems you're right. I disabled the notification, and logout works now.
Reenabling it lets knotify4 hang again.
This also happens with ac97 sound, but it seems my installation is too minimal
- kde can't play any .ogg files. In fact, it can't play any sound at all, even
though aplay does work.
After installing the required phonon and gstreamer packages (no backend was
available), logout does work. It seems logout even works if no audio hardware
is found when a phonon backend is available.
Thanks Will, for now, this is good enough for me. Closing as upstream. Feel
free to add the upstream bug number if you stumble over it.
