There can you read, that virtualbox runs into code for the standard kernel build by openSUSE. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set a new link to the used kernel. 2. Compile of modules stopped. Actual Results: Virtualization using vmware/virtualbox do not work. With the default kernel both virtualization tools work fine, but my screen do not work with this kernel (See Bug 712221). Only setting a new link to the working kernel do not activate the mechanismus to generate the necessary modules for working with virtualbox or vmware. It would be very fine, if the script or whatever works for the standard kernel would work for the kernel which will be chosen by the user on boot and loaded by grub. Unfortunatly there may be reasons for using an other kernel except the default kernel by opensuse. On laptops default kernel do not work or graphics do not work. This is the reason, why I must use a vanilla kernel. But virtualization I do need for my work. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
