The device is apparently detected since it is listed in 'lsusb' like: Bus 002 Device 003: ID 138a:0005 Validity Sensors, Inc. VFS301 Fingerprint Reader The problem is that Yast -> Fingerprint reader module reports there isn't any fingerprint reader device on the system.
