The culprit is kded4 which is in a infinite busy polling loop. Switching back to the kded_networkstatus.so file from package kdebase4-runtime-4.7.0-297.1.x86_64 is a workaround. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install latest kdebase4-runtime 2. Start KDE session 3.
