https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710785 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710785#c0 Summary: KDE does not play audio cds in amarok or rhythmbox, only in kaffeine Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: ohering@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Outsourced Testing Blocker: --- I did a fresh install of 11.4-x86_64 on a FSC Esprimo m9400 notebook to convert some of my audio cds to flac files using rhythmbox. At first I tried a KDE desktop. Inserting the audio cd was recognized, and a popup offered to open it in either amarok or kaffeine. Choosing amarok did not show any audio cd content, only some webradio or whatever. Choosing kaffeine finally played the audio cd. Starting rhythmbox did not show the auiocd either. Later I reinstalled the partition with GNOME. Here the audio cd was recognized right away. rhythmbox showed the cd and I was able to convert it to flac. Today I tried the audio cd in an existing 11.4 KDE installation on a Dell Optiplex desktop system. Again neither rhythmbox nor amarok showed the audio cd, only kaffeine was able to play it. Appearently something is wrong with KDEs audio cd handling. (I tried the 11.3 KDE partition on the Dell Optiplex and kscd, kaffeine and amarok were able to play the audio cd). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
