I found this trying out this Forum Howto in Tumbleweed -
http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/how-faq-forums/un...
Remembered HAL was being removed, so when I found that the pm-profiler required
uninstalled package, I decided to check in 12.1 M3 factory.
# chkconfig pm-profiler on
insserv: FATAL: service haldaemon has to be enabled to use service pm-profiler
insserv: exiting now!
/sbin/insserv failed, exit code 1
This is my original Email report to AJ who had asked about HAL removal -
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-packaging/2011-07/msg00085.html :
In the current factory aka 12.1 M3 it appears that though there's no
package dependency defined :
pm-profiler-0.1_git20101115-9.2.noarch
yast2-power-management-2.18.1-10.2.noarch
May be need some work, there's no package "haldaemon" (which there was
in 11.4). Is this in hand, or would a bug report be useful?
