The gma 500 pseudo intel graphic hardware was always a Linux nightmare :-. On openSUSE it works, but only with vesa definitions. however, it may not be completely impossible to have a driver. The last intel update is from middle 2010 (see attachement) and meego forum gives some hints: http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=38&highlight=gma500&page=2 the driver tgz is 65Mo, too much to be attached here, I gess, and it's easy to find on intel web site (look at display for laptops - not netbooks).
