--- Comment #31 from James Carter 2011-05-24 20:22:55 UTC ---
Sorry to bear bad tidings, but the bug is back in OpenSuSE 11.4. I have
zypper-1.5.3-3.2.x86_64 and libzypp-8.12.1-3.3.x86_64. From Packman I've
installed gstreamer-0_10-plugin-hal-0.10.27-999.pm.1002.17.x86_64 (and also
quite a number of other codec packages including plugins-good and
plugins-good-extra). Zypper would like to install
patch:gstreamer-0_10-plugin-hal-4496.noarch but the version doesn't match (no
surprise). For reasons which I'm sure are familiar, I want to stick with the
Packman codecs, so I did these (one at a time):
zypper addlock --type patch gstreamer-0_10-plugin-hal-4496.noarch
zypper addlock gstreamer-0_10-plugin-hal-0.10.27-999.pm.1002.17.x86_64
In both cases the lock was recorded, but zypper failed to ignore the patch,
showing its conflict dialog and cancelling a patch run done with
--non-interactive. (My net at work has 125 machines with OpenSuSE.)
