I have reproduced the crash with LO-3.3.2 on SLED11-SP1 and the steps described
in the comment #11.
I am NOT able to reproduce it with the official LO-3.4.0-beta5 build from
http://www.libreoffice.org/download/pre-releases/. So, it seems to be fixed in
LO-3.4.
I am sorry but we do not plan to backport this fix to the 3.3 version. There
are more things to do => closing this bug as FIXED.
Feel free to reopen it if it does not work with the LO-3.4 packages for you.
BTW: The scenario without DocumentConverter.py looks more useful because it is
easier for debugging. The python script adds another level of complexity to
setup the test environment. The communication between the script and the server
brings another problems when debugging, ...
BTW2: The option -convert-to allows to convert more documents of the same type
at once. IMHO, it is more safe to restart LO from time to time. It is huge a
application, it is not much tested in the server mode...
