For the kscd part, I openned a new bug #693893, let's focus on amarok here.
Starting with Amarok *not* running (no applet), I insert an audio cd, clic on
the applet with usb icon, see "CD-R". Clic on it, see "play with amarok, play
with Kaffeine". Let's focus on amarok.
I clic on "play with Amarok". Nearly nothing happen. Searching, I see the
amarok icon on the taskbar. clicking on "read" do not read anything.
I open amarok (left clic or right clic and restore).
Don't see any cd reader interface. The read button do not play the cd.
Going to amarok help only says the help is not here but give a link to kde help
center. In this I find
http://docs.kde.org/development/en/extragear-multimedia/amarok/index.html the
amarok handbook.
on this page:
http://docs.kde.org/development/en/extragear-multimedia/amarok/device-suppor...
I see an audio cd in "local music".
But in amarok, if I clic on the small home icon (upper left), then on the
"local music" tab, I don't see any cd.
I will continue searching (google), but the fact that the cd is not openned is
clearly a bug.
I also notice that there is a ripping capability in amarok that could lead to a
legal problem, but do not see in yast any packman amarok version. Is this the
problem? this shouldn't prevent reading audio cd (this reading is perfectly
legal)
