https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691828 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691828#c0 Summary: Abort repository refresh doesn't abort Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: toddrme2178@gmail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 When loading the software management YaST module, the repositories automatically refresh. If there is a problem you get three options: retry, abort, and skip. Abort, however, does not actually abort the refresh, it just starts refreshing the next repository. This mean in practice there is no way to just stop the repository refresh process, you have wait until YaST2 has figured out that there is a problem with every single repository individually. So, for instance, if you accidentally start the software management module when you don't have an internet connection, you have to wait for it to try to contact the server for each repository, time out, and then click abort. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Disconnect your internet 2. Open the YaST2 software management module 3. When the "Cannot access installation media" message popups up, click abort. Actual Results: YaST2 starts trying to refresh the next repository Expected Results: YaST2 stops trying to refresh repositories and skips strait to the installation interface. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
