--- Comment #6 from Stefan Kost
For now you're going to have to use the trace kernel. Except for the tracing differences, it's essentially the same as the 'default' kernel on x86_64 and the 'pae' kernel on i386.
when booting the trace kernel I miss several modules (e.g. gfx driver) diff 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop/ 2.6.37.1-1.2-trace/ | diffstat modules.alias | 916 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++-------------------- modules.builtin | 44 -- modules.dep | 712 ++++++++++++++++++++++--------------------- modules.order | 89 ++++- modules.symbols | 639 ++++++++------------------------------- 5 files changed, 1173 insertions(+), 1227 deletions(-) (In reply to comment #5)
Utrace has not been accepted upstream and is considered a dead project. It will be removed for 12.1 unless that status changes.
Are you sure? Any pointers? Also I don't care for CONFIG_UTRACE in particular, I just want to use user-space systemtap script. Should we relabel the bug to ensure that whatever replaces CONFIG_UTRACE is enabled in future kernels? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
