https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687852 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=687852#c0 Summary: partitioner: does not allow to directly create partition larger than 2TB Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: bluedzins@wp.pl QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Despite the fact OS 11.4 DOES support partitions larger than 2TB, Yast partioner does not allow directly to create them. What user sees is the limit -- 2 TB. User has to know, that she/he has to quit Yast, change the disk table (using parted, provided by OS 11.4!) and then add partition. It would be really useful if the size of the partion (in partitioner) would be limitless, and after accepting the size (by user), partitioner would ask if the user would like to use GPT table if the size was bigger than 2TB. Bottom line is: partitioner should support all features system provides. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
