While trying to add it with the hp-toolbox I was told that I should be a member of lp and sys to execute this operation. After adding my user to lp and sys adding the printer works fine. Would this be a problem to add the default user to lp and sys? Running the app is root is not recommend according to the app. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install hplip 2.run hp-toolbox 3.try to add a hp network printer and probably directly connected ones too Actual Results: HP Toolbox complains about the missing group membership lp and sys.
