https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=681286 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=681286#c0 Summary: bash update breaks quilt Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.5 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: werner@novell.com ReportedBy: jeffm@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Development Blocker: --- After the update from the bash version shipped with openSUSE 11.4 (bash-4.1-20.25.1) to the version currently in Factory (bash-4.2-30.1), quilt breaks. Given a directory structure of: pc/apparmor-scripts/profiles/parser/rc.aaeventd.suse pc/apparmor-scripts/profiles/parser/rc.apparmor.functions pc/apparmor-scripts/profiles/parser/rc.apparmor.suse The following quoting fails: shopt -s nullglob QUILT_PC=.pc patch=apparmor-scripts echo "$QUILT_PC/$patch/"* The result is an empty line. With: echo $QUILT_PC/$patch/* The result is "profiles" With the version of bash shipped with openSUSE 11.4 both cases return "profiles" This is causing quilt to believe that the directory is empty and that the patch has failed to apply. Downgrading bash works around the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
