https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=679949 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=679949#c0 Summary: unable to unmount a cisf share as user in opensuse 11.4 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Samba AssignedTo: samba-maintainers@SuSE.de ReportedBy: fire.suse@gmail.com QAContact: samba-maintainers@SuSE.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0b12) Gecko/20110222 Firefox/4.0b12 Mount a share as user is possible with UID=set from mount.cifs and a entry in fstab. Unmount as user is not possible. Message: umount: /home/fire/Server/public mount disagrees with the fstab As "root" the share can be unmounted. I suspect the symlink /etc/mtab to be the problem. If it is replaced by a "real" file unmounting as user will work like it used to do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.connect to share as normal user with "mount /home/fire/Server/public" 2.disconnect share as normal user with "umount /home/fire/Server/public" Actual Results: umount error: umount: /home/fire/Server/public mount disagrees with the fstab Expected Results: correct unmount See additional info on: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/network-internet/... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
