https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678746 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=678746#c0 Summary: peap-gtc not available using knetworkmanager for 802.1x and wpa/wpa2 enterprise connections Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: craig.franke@harlingen.tstc.edu QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 When setting up a new wireless connection through KNetworkManager for a wireless network using PEAP-GTC instead of PEAP-MSCHAPv2, you don't get an option to select that inner authentication method. This keeps the user from being able to connect to such wireless networks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Setup a new wireless connection 2.Under security select WPA/WPA2 Enterprise 3.Set Authentication to PEAP, GTC not available in Inner Auth drop down. Actual Results: Missing GTC option for inner authentication. Expected Results: GTC should be available as an option. Many corporate and university networks utilize GTC instead of MSCHAPv2 (which is active directory). If you're using LDAP or eDirectory as a backend, GTC is the only way to enable authentication to those credential stores for things like Cisco ACS. Currently using the KDE 4.6 repo (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/46/openSUSE_11.4/) on an otherwise fresh install of openSUSE 11.4 64-bit. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
