Don't know how to reproduce, nothing was run at the times these events occurs
except what runs constantly or every minute on this server. Every minute the
server collects weather data and displays and graphs it, every minute when the
sun is up the server collects solar panel power generation data and graphs it,
every 2 seconds the server collects electrical power usage and graphs it every
minute, it's constantly monitoring 6 cameras via zoneminder. It a DNS server
and a DHCP server and web server and MTA and router using iptables.
So all that stuff was running, at the time of the first event involving
'convert' that could have been the weather, solar, or power data collection
doing it's graphing. The mysql is used by zoneminder so that is likely what was
using mysql at the time it had a problem and then screwed up the DB.
This stuff is all running now so I don't know what I could do to force an
event, it's already doing everything it was doing when this happened. Oh and it
has been doing all this for a long time so it's not like something was just
added. So I'd have to say no, I do not know how I could duplicate this event.
What are you referring to as the 'closed source kernels'?
