The error didn't occur in first place. It started with a failed wake up from suspend (maybe related to https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=674245 ). After that crash, the device causes the system to freeze, even when used from a clean environment (OpenSUSE 11.4 RC2 Live CD).
