I spent some time again reading the code and trying to find previous intentions
from upstream developers.
I've learned that we were not talking about the same things:
I'm already using Firefox 4.0b12 (which also will be in 11.4's goldmaster)
which got some changes compared to earlier betas.
But I think you guys are still having issues with the current and upstream
intended behaviour.
- by default there is basically _no_ quit/warn dialog if not explicitely
enabled
by flipping browser.showQuitWarning
- there is one if you have multiple tabs open and close the last window with
the window manager's X button
- your session is always saved (if not in private mode) and can be restored by
- using the correct setting for startup page
- clicking the button on the about:home page if that is your start page
- choosing History -> Restore previous session
Some people already reported a follow up bug to Mozilla:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=636777
Please follow up there if still needed. We shouldn't change the upstream
behaviour for openSUSE as it would be very confusing for people using different
platforms with Firefox.
Therefore closing this bug report.
