https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=674689 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=674689#c0 Summary: openSUSE:11.3/libzypp: Bug: http password is neglected Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: ma@novell.com ReportedBy: torsten.foertsch@gmx.net QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- On opensuse 11.1 I could specify credentials for a repository as zypper ar http://user:password@host.tld/repo/11.3/ test With 11.3 this doesn't work. The useragent sends an Authorization header that includes the "user" part but misses the "password". By setting ZYPP_ARIA2C=0 the problem can be circumvented. I have found the variable name by doing "strings" on libzypp.so. After a bit of googleing I tried ZYPP_ARIA2C=0 zypper ref test and it worked. The zypper manpage does not mention the variable. So, in fact I am reporting 2 bugs: - using aria2c the password gets forgotten - ZYPP_ARIA2C is not documented -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
