Are you still seeing this problem? The Ubuntu bug is a bit misleading as it
talks about patches being included in 2.6.32.21 that weren't. We've been
carrying the fix that did make it into 2.6.32.21 for a while, though:

to PAGEOUT_IO_SYNC stalls (bnc#625339).
It was in the 2.6.34.4-0.1 release.
