Summary: mkinitrd fails if bootsplash is not installed
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.4
Version: Factory
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: YaST2
AssignedTo: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: lnussel@xxxxxxxxxx

yast2/library/system/src/Initrd.ycp calls mkinitrd with -s option. That option
is provided by /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/ which belongs to the
bootsplash package. If bootsplash isn't installed the mkinitrd call fails. So
you need to either check for an installed bootsplash package or existence of
/lib/mkinitrd/scripts/ before passing the -s option.

This currently breaks the minimal installation
