IMHO there is no reason to become insulting!
And yes I think it would be a good idea not to throw away all
experience of the last 15 years without a well documented replacment.
OK I'll see what happens at least for the next SLES, upto this
point the systemd should be stable and handy enough for the big
irons of our 5 big customers, shouldn't it?
Beside this do you really think it is a good idea to store system
relevant informations below /dev/.mount/ or any other hidden directory
under /dev/. Is this change documented e.g. in mount(8)? And if it is
documented, does this also hold true for the logical syntax of e.g.
/dev/.mount/utab?
Maybe it would be an idea to have a link under /var/run/ to point
to informations below /dev/.* or /dev/shm/ to support the work of
system administrators working on big servers. It will make debugging
such systems much easier even for our own L3 supporters.
