https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=661946 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=661946#c0 Summary: twm called with incorrect options from gdm Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Milestone 5 of 6 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: GNOME AssignedTo: bnc-team-gnome@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: ohering@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Outsourced Testing Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=406659) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=406659) twm.env.txt 11.4 milestone 5 on x86_64 For some reason the default gnome session does not display anything but a black screen and the default mouse pointer on my HP Probook 6555b. So I changed runlevel to 3, changed /etc/sysconfig/windowmanager:DEFAULT_WM from gnome to twm and changed runlevel back to 5. But twm did not start because the options passed to twm were wrong. twm is called like this: /usr/bin/twm de_DE.UTF-8 A locale string is not a valid option for twm. Attached is the output from this helper script: /usr/bin/twm #!/bin/bash ( echo "$0 $*" echo "$#" env ) &> /dev/shm/twm.$PPID.$$.txt exec /usr/bin/twm.bin -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
