--- Comment #2 from Bruno Friedmann 2010-12-27 09:10:12 UTC ---
Also the comment in zypp.conf are not clearly indicate which is the default
What it "sane"
##
## Commit download policy to use as default.
##
## DownloadOnly, Just download all packages to the local cache.
## Do not install. Implies a dry-run.
##
## DownloadInAdvance, First download all packages to the local cache.
## Then start to install.
##
## DownloadInHeaps, Similar to DownloadInAdvance, but try to split
## the transaction into heaps, where at the end of
## each heap a consistent system state is reached.
##
## DownloadAsNeeded Alternating download and install. Packages are
## cached just to avid CD/DVD hopping. This is the
## traditional behaviour.
##
## <UNSET> If a value is not set, empty or unknown, we pick
## some sane default.
##
commit.downloadMode = DownloadInHeaps
I've tried DownloadInAdvance when I knew I've plenty of space to do
update/upgrade, and this work as expected ( used that when I'm not on a stable
internet download link )
Actually I'm trying the DownloadInHeaps, but the behaviour doesn't change, all
rpm are donwloaded before any of them start their installation. Even in the
case of a kernel update in the same time than kde update.
This two operation should be separate, no ?
How can we help to debug that ?
