Read about it upstreams: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32393 They have told me that the hangup was caused by the suse-Autodebug extension. Perhaps you should have a look at it. Turning a simple crash into a fully unresponding system is not what we want. Also consider to do something about the debuginfo mismatches. Installing with hindsight is not always possible and does not improve already dumped backtraces (Bug 658212, Bug 657258).
