I should also add: there are some other temporary directories that get created
during the execution of 'createrepo' that also have this same permissions
problem.
Normally, temporary directories are deleted when 'createrepo' finishes, so they
don't end up presenting a permissions problem to the next user. However, in
cases where 'createrepo' is killed or fails in the middle of its normal
operation, these temporary directories are left around and then they do cause
trouble.
So, please ensure that this problem is fixed for all directories (and files)
created by 'createrepo', not just 'repodata'.
Basically, somewhere somebody is unilaterally resetting the umask without
cause. Removing this should fix these problems.
