sane-backends-1.0.21 with the fix is available for testing
for now via its openSUSE development project graphics
for openSUSE 11.1 11.2 and 11.3 for i586 and x86_64 at
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/graphics/
H. Hansen,
please install it from there and test if it works now for you.
I cannot test it on my own because we do not have a scanner
which uses the xerox_mfp backend.
If it works for you, I will forward it to openSUSE:Factory
so that the fix will be included in openSUSE 11.4.
