'kdesu' is used for starting X programs (you can pass KDE Generic Options and
Qt Generic Options) as parameters. AFAIK starting textmode programs such as
ncurses YaST in the terminal is not supported.
The way to start textmode YaST is:
Open a console or switch to a terminal, make sure you are logged in as user
root (if not become root by typing su) and start YaST by typing 'yast'.
'kdesu' is meant for starting the Qt YaST by typing 'kdesu yast2'.
The wiki page (http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Starting_YaST) mentions to start
'kdesu yast' - I will change this to 'kdesu yast2'.
