https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=646000 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=646000#c0 Summary: OpenVPN configuraton fails to save the ca file name Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: flaker.kapper@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/6.0.472.63 Safari/534.3 Using the NetworkManager Applet 0.8. If I create a new VPN connection using OpenVPN, the applet lets me select the ca file. I click save and try to connect. It fails and if I see the log, the wrong ca path is being used. I have to re open the connection configuration window and select the proper file again. Example: I created a new openvpn connection and selected the file home/flaker/thevpn.ca.crt What I got in the connection attempt was: Cannot load CA certificate file /home/flaker/Videos path (null)(SSL_CTX_load_verify_locations) (OpenSSL) Exiting So I have to open the setup again, and select again the proper file (it is difficult to select a file, it tries to select a folder) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create VPN, OpenVPN with Password type. 2. Select the appropriate ca file and save. 3. Try to connect. Actual Results: Connection fails. OpenVPN tried to use a folder instead of the file path I provided. Expected Results: Use the ca file and connect to the vpn In my case, when I open the connection setup. "/home/flaker/Videos" is just above the ca file name. So it seems to be selecting the next folder instead of the file. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
