I don't see any problems in the driver code. Most likely the device cannot
be put into a low power state before another device on your system and
async suspend doesn't take that into accout.
Please put the "echo 0 > /sys/power/pm_async" into the init scripts as a
permanent workaround, I'm afraid I can't help you more with this issue,
as it is highly specific to your hardware.
